my first picture perfect workshop for beginners with a digital slr camera was a huge success. it was amazing watching these ten ladies come into my studio with their cameras on auto and leave shooting in manual. i loved watching it click with them. they were so excited and i was very proud! we also had a ton of fun!
a huge thanks to my two helpers for the day, jenn gamet from jennifer gamet photography and my good friend, leigh! also, to my husband, john, (my IT department) who made sure the tv was working for my slideshow.
here’s some feedback from attendees after the workshop:
“I learned so much and am excited to only photograph on manual mode! It was great to meet you and of course the “swag” was a fun bonus!!”
“Great class! I learned a lot, I have been playing around on manual all night! Thanks again.”
“Thank you SO much for the great workshop today!! It was really informative and you put it all into a way that was easy to understand! I’m so excited to start practicing and hopefully take super cute photos of my children.”
and here’s a wonderful blog post about the workshop as well: http://www.cultivatingmotherhood.com/goodbye-auto-hello-manual/
Grammy - Congrats Sarah. I know you are the best. After reading the cultivating motherhood blog post I am convinced that I will be signing up for your next class. That will be a real test to see if you can teach an old dog new tricks- if anyone can I’m sure it’s you.
Barb - Great post and thanks for the link back! I cannot say how good it feels to not feel scared and intimidated to use my camera on manual! I’m still on a post-workshop high with my camera strapped around my neck of course =)
