Pazy's Portraits » modern photography for seniors, babies, kids, and families

my husbands whole family is a little obsessed with nicknames. everybody has not just one or two nicknames, but about ten. so, before we had sam we were pretty sure he was going to be called “sammers”. jack is pretty often “jackers”, so “sammers” just fit. john (my husband) threw us for a loop when sam was about a week old and he decided that samska suited him better. and what better for a middle name, then buddha boo. yep, so we call him “samska” quite regularly.  (maybe now you get the whole “pazy’s portraits” thing a little more.)

anyhow, my little “samska budha boo” was 3 months old yesterday. i thought those first three months flew by with jack. this time it really has been like a whirl-wind. (it might have something to do with me only taking a month off work and starting right back into the crazy busy season). i can’t believe how fast it has gone by and i just know that nine months from now i will really wonder where my baby went. sam is such a sweet, perfect baby. he is snuggly, smiley, and “talks” to us all the time. he is a mama’s boy but is really starting to warm up to his dad too. his big brother is still all up in his business, but i think deep-down sam really likes it.

after looking at these you may get where the “buddha” part comes from. 🙂

where have the last 6 months gone? it seems like it was just yesterday that i was pregnant, sweating from the heat being turned way up, and trying to stoop down on the floor to take emmersyn’s newborn pictures. (i sure don’t miss newborn sessions with a big belly, actually any sessions with a big ol’ belly for that matter.) look at how grown-up and cute she is now!

i love elizabeth park for seniors. it is both beautiful and has that old charm, which is probably the reason why it is one of my most requested locations. i will not lie though that i was super excited when brianna told me she wanted to do part of her session in her backyard (which overlooks the detroit river) and some in downtown wyandotte. i love the challenge of getting creative in new locations!
